Graduated from the Directors Education Program delivered by McGill University and Institute of Corporate Directors, Mr. Villeneuve is very much interested by governance matters and sits on many boards. He was a member of the Quebec Tax Review Commission (Commission d’examen sur la fiscalité québécoise) in 2014-2015.

Deloitte Career

Deloitte has 2,400 employees located in 32 regional offices through Quebec. Mr. Villeneuve was their Quebec President from 2009 to 2015. Partner of the Firm since 1985, Mr. Villeneuve was also a Board Member of Deloitte Canada and Vice-President of Deloitte Canada for 9 years. He also sat on the Board of Deloitte Foundation from 2007 to 2014. In 2006, in recognition of his great contribution to the accounting profession and his community, M. Villeneuve was awarded the title of Fellow of the Quebec Order of Chartered Accountants (FCPA, FCA).

Over the years, Mr. Villeneuve served brilliantly different professional and management functions with the Firm.  He was Quebec Audit Operations Director for 9 years. He was then responsible for the Firm strategy on the role of financial certification and compliance with securities regulation for public and private companies.  He was also, for 3 years, Quebec Public Sector Leader.

He is passionate about client service and he served over the years as auditor for many significant Canadian public companies or entities such as: Hydro- Québec, City of Montréal, Logistec Corporation, Caisse de dépôt et de placements du Québec (real estate), Lassonde, Groupe Vidéotron, TVA, UAP Inc, Saputo, Port of Montreal and Teleglobe.
