Mr. Jones’ experience, built during a career in natural resources, spans most disciplines and has given him a thorough understanding of the performance requirements for managements and Boards, factors most relevant in today’s demanding world of governance and disclosure.
His career includes the development of the north Asian markets for Canadian woodpulp, and through a variety of postings at Noranda Inc., he executed resource projects in Canada and emerging countries, managed one of the world’s largest metals and minerals commercial enterprises, and one of the world’s largest integrated zinc mining and metallurgical enterprises.
Mr Jones has served various trade and development associations in Canada and Europe and is currently a Director of public companies, a private investor, and advisor. Mr Jones, with degrees, diplomas and certificates from Carleton University, University of Western Ontario, INSEAD, and Six Sigma, continues with lifetime learning experiences.
